DPWH allocates P27M for Bridge and Highway in Dagupan City

LINGAYEN -  The chief of the 2nd Engineering Office of the Department of Public Works & Highway here said that in Dagupan City alone the Department of Public Works & Highway allocated P27 million for the expansion of the highway and the construction of the bridge there.
District Engineer Elpidio Paragas said the P19 million construction of a bridge would be in Barangay Lucao in Dagupan City.
He said all vehicles going to the city will use the road in Sitio Calet, Lucao Elementary School, and the Old De Venecia Road before it can reach the city road in Barangay Malued.
Paragas said it is high time to replace the Lucao Bridge as it is already worn out and endangers the public.
The remaining P8 million, he continued, will be used for the expansion of some parts of the highway.
He said funding of these two projects have started in February this year.
Meanwhile, Sta. Barbara Mayor Carlito Zaplan said the 2nd Engineering sub- office of the Department of Public Works & Highway based in his town has allocated funds for three new bridges. One them is the four lanes bridge that would replaced the old one in located in the national highway in Sinocalan.  The other two is bridge going to Malasiqui from the poblacion  and the other is in Barangay Balingueo in the same town.
