Revenue District Office No. 4 Chief Aldrin A. Camba told Northern Watch Newspaper that he collected P4, 938, 419, 711.56 on top of the tax target of P4,773, 050, 000 while RDO No. 6 Chief Eden R. Serafica snared P2,253, 249, 125.13 on top of the tax goal of P2,174, 926, 000.

“As of December 28, 2022 our
tentative tax collection from January – December: P4, 938, 419, 711.56 as against
our goal of P4,773, 050, 000 or excess of P163, 369, 711.56,” said by Camba
whose office in Calasiao oversees two cities and fourteen towns in the
province.
“Pinatawagan ko top
withholding agents iyong mga practitioners mga bookkeepers,” Camba explained
the measures he implemented to overcome the deficit and converted it into
surplus collection.
Serafica was grateful to the men and women of RDO No. 6 in Urdaneta City that supervises a city and fifteen towns in Pangasinan.

December 28, 2022 P2,174, 926, 000. Collected January to December 28, 2022
P2,253, 249, 125.13. Collected year 2021 P1,882, 581, 268.98,” in a text
messages she sent to this newspaper.
Serafica said credits on the laudable collection performances should be
given to her predecessor RDO Chief Bernadette Mangaoang.
Serafica assumed her post in November 2 last year by replacing Mangaoang.
Vinluan and Mangaoang have been assigned to La Trinidad, Benguet and
Tabuk City, Kalinga Apayao, respectively.
Camba and Serafica's previous assignments were in Abra and Kalinga Apayao.
The
BIR's projected revenue for the upcoming year is P2. 67 trillion, which is
11.61 percent more than its P2. 39 trillion collection target for
2022.
The
national budget for this year of the Philippines government is P5.268 trillion
where the collections of the BIR, Bureau of Customs, borrowings, and others
fund it.
