CONG. CANDIDATE EXPOSES PARAYNO’S INCOMPETENCE
By Mortz C. Ortigoza
BAYAMBANG, Pangasinan – A congressional candidate vehemently denied that
he and his governorship bet son betrayed Urdaneta City Mayor Julio “Rammy”
Parayno, III that caused the mayor in deserting them in favor of their
electoral rivals.
“Ito ang pangyayari:
Pinag-dududahan kasi ni Mayor Parayno na pinapalaban daw namin si Mayor Bobom
Perez. Kasi daw (kami) nagpapalaban sa kanya. Sabi ko papaano ko ipapalaban sa
iyo si Bobom Perez e iyong CONA (Certificate of Nomination and Acceptance) ni
Mayor Parayno galing sa akin, “disclosed by Binalonan Mayor and Lakas-CMD
Chairman in Pangasinan Ramon “Monching” Guico, Jr.
He even issued the CONA not only to Parayno but to his vice
mayor and his candidates to the city council.
“Ano ba baliw ba ako na magbibigasy ako ng CONA sa kanila tapos palabanan ko,” he stressed.
The Urdaneta Mayor earlier smarted that he abandoned the Guicos
because he heard the solon went to the house of the city’s former mayor Amadeo
"Bobom" Gregorio Perez, IV to goad him to run against
Parayno in the May 9, 2022 election.
“Matagal ko ng
kinikimkim iyan at alam ko rin na nag-uusap at pumupunta pa mismo si
Cong.Mon-mon sa bahay ng mga Perez at bakit pa nila ako pinalabanan kung
talagang kaalyado nila ako?” Parayno said.
He used to be a
party man and would not easily bolt to the other camp, he added.
“Hindi ko naman gagawin iyong babaligtad ako sa grupo dahil “ party man” at
kaalyado nila ako”.
The older Guico said it was Perez who went to the abode of
the congressman and told him and the mayor about the clamor of the people of Urdaneta City for him to challenge Parayno because of his incompetence.
“Tinanong ko sa kanya.
Bakit ka lalaban in the first place wala kang line-up. In the second place
kang line-up. Iyan ay sinabi ko sa kanya. Tao na ang nag-uudyok sa akin dahil
maraming nagawang kapalpakan, sabi niya,” Guico quoted Perez.
Perez cited to him how Parayno constricted the national
highway when the shoulders of the road he used as parking space for vehicles.
Guico did not believe that Parayno absconded him and his son
by supporting anew the re-elective Pangasinan Governor Amado “Pogi” Espino, III
could affect him and his son’s electoral stocks in the 90, 000 vote rich city
of the Fifth Congressional District.
“Hindi. Kasi si Monmon
maraming ng na establish na project sa Urdaneta. Marami siya nakuhang barangay
officials doon. Actually ito ang sasabihin ko sa inyo. Actually ito ang na
sense namin through our survey ano na iyong popularity ni Parayno downward na”.
He exposed that members of the Tricycle Operators and Drivers' Association (TODA) in the city turned sour to the 2019 mayorship election's candidate after Parayno breached on his promise to lower by fifty percent their penalty if apprehended violating the local traffic laws.
Print and radio reporters pose for posterity
with Lakas –CMD Chairman in Pangasinan and congressional candidate Ramon
“Monching” Guico, Jr. after Guico assailed in an interview Urdaneta City Mayor
Rammy Parayno. Parayno earlier abandoned Guico and his governorship bet son and
namesake because of feeling betrayed after he was informed that one of the
Guicos persuaded Urdaneta City former mayor Amado “Bobom” Perez, IV to run
against him in the 2022 election.
The Binalonan Mayor pointed also to the viral video in the
social media of the abuses of Parayno’s market law and order enforcers to the
vendors.
“Nakita ninyo siguro
Guico and members of the Opposition in Pangasinan from the
congressional, provincial, and mayoral elective officials converged recently
at the Event Center here for their pledge of support to the presidential and
vice presidential candidacies of Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, Jr. and Sara
Duterte, respectively.
The meeting was headed by Bayambang Mayor Cezar T. Quiambao-
the major financier of the group dubbed as Aguila – who opposed the reelection
of Governor Espino and his allies in the congressional, provincial, and
municipal positions in the next year’s poll.
