VM Anton, Others Elected as New Off. of NMYL-P’sinan Chap

SAN JUAN, La Union - Through the initiative of the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG), the National Movement of Young Legislators (NMYL) conducted here the simultaneous regional and provincial reorganization of the NMYL local chapters throughout the whole country.

NMYL TOP BRASS. Newly elected officers of the Department of Interior and Local Government sanctioned National Movement of Young Legislators famously known as NMYL for brevity takes their oath of office. NMYL-Pangasinan Chapter newly minted Chairman Anton Miguel Perez (3^rd from left) leads the oath-taking held in San Juan, La Union.

The chapter in Region 1-Ilocos Region had recently concluded their activity in August 5 to 6 this year in Illi Norte, San Juan, La Union. Before the activity, the NMYL-Pangasinan Chapter held a General Meeting at Magtaking, San Carlos City where different young legislators from the towns and cities of the garguntuan Pangasinan met. Alaminos City Vice Mayor Jose Antonio Miguel Y. Perez voiced there his intention to run as the Provincial Chairman of the 2025-2028 Executive Board of NMYL Pangasinan Chapter. The young vice mayor expounded that his primodial focus was Alaminos but wanted to join nevertheless the elective process of the NMYL because it is a good training ground for future competent leaders of the province.

“Nandito ako upang mag-apply as Chairman ng NMYL-Pangasinan Chapter and hopefully mabigyan ninyo ako ng chance to serve you and to represent you, and I will do my best and with the support of our Governor Ramon Guico III and Vice Governor Mark Ronald Lambino dahil naniniwala ako na dito sa NMYL na nag-start ang great leader to our province,” the young Vice Mayor Perez told the attendees where Vice Governor Mark Ronald Lambino and Regional Chairman NMYL Pangasinan 5th District Board Member Nicholi Jan Louie Sison were the primary luminaries there.

The simultaneous regional and provincial reorganization of NMYL Local Chapters reignites the spirit of public service and revisits all the advocacies of the young leaders of the entire Region - I can install to their respective local government units. This activity is also the opportunity to elect new officers for the 2025-2028 NMYL Executive Board of Region - I and different provinces.

Perez was unopposed to win his elective venture with the present NMYL.

 "I want to assure everyone, on behalf of the Pangasinan Officers (of NMYL Pangasinan Chapter), we are willing to do our best alongside our region,” he disclosed.

For the new Provincial Chairman, this initiative is to greatly help young legislators connect and exchange ideas in handling legislative work. With the combined experiences and information shared by various young legislators in the Province of Pangasinan, the new set of the Executive Board of NMYL-Pangasinan Chapter will bring a new dawn to their town, and to their entire province.
