Dropped by today at the office of Pangasinan's Superboy Mayor Pat Caramat of Calasiao for some chats while I quaffed the hot coffee prepared by his toastmaster Backy Robasta alias Backy Clownn (seen at the left photos).
I talked with the Whirling Dervish of Calasiao on the latest law on cityhood that only requires a town or a cluster of barangays to earn a LOCALLY generated average annual income of P400 million for the last consecutive two years based on the 2012 constant prices and DOES NEED ONE of the two requirements of the Land Area (100 sq. km) and Population (150,000 inhabitants).
The laws that support what I told the Hizzoner are Republic Acts 11683 and 11964.
You can read my blog on the stance of the young Mayor on these statutes on my next article.
We discussed too the advantages of an economic zone and how it expedited the economic growth of Tarlac City and the business taxes the first class thriving town gets from trades like solar power plants.
