Two new chiefs of the Bureau of Internal have formally assumed
their respective post last Wednesday in Pangasinan.
Revenue District Offices No. 4 and 6 Chiefs Aldrin Camba and
Eden R. Serafica have been assigned to central and eastern Pangasinan to help
collect the P2.438 trillion national target given to the BIR by the national
government.
The tax agency contributes about two-thirds of its annual collection to the national government's coffer.

The duo and other RDO chiefs all over the country face a
tall order from BIR Commissioner Lilia
C. Guillermo who exhorted them at a meeting held recently in Baguio City that she
wanted each of them to eclipse by twenty-percent their respective tax goal
after the end of year 2022.
Camba, for instance, gears to change the negative collection
left by his predecessor from January to October this year.
“January to October
cumulative goal (actual collection against the goal): Negative two percent.
Year to year (comparison of collections in years 2021 to 2022): Negative three percent,” he told this writer the present state of his post.
The forty years old Camba is optimistic however to have a
surplus collection on the P4.9 billion target tasked for RDO-4 that covers the two
cities and fourteen towns in central Pangasinan.
RDO-4 based in Calasiao, Pangasinan is the BIR's premier collection office as it has the highest tax target in all the RDOs in Northern Luzon.
“Ang thrust ko maging positive lahat. Ma- achieve o ma over ko lang ang goal”.
To attain this endeavor, Camba subscribes to monitoring, continuous
seminars for his staff and taxpayers, tax information campaign, and tax
education as his strategies.
“I appeal to taxpayers
to do their part in helping the country in a simple way to do their patriotic duty which is to pay their taxes,” he told Northern
Watch Newspaper.
Camba and Serafica replaced RDO Chiefs Gil Vinluan and
Bernadette Mangaoang, respectively.
Vinluan and Mangaoang have been assigned to La Trinidad,
Benguet and Tabuk City, Kalinga Apayao, respectively.
Camba and Serafica's previous assignments were in Abra and
Kalinga Apayao.
Serafica used to be an Examiner and Group Supervisor in RDO
No.4 in Calasiao and Chief Area Supervisor in RDO No. 1 in Laoag City, Ilocos
Norte, became an Assistant RDO and RDO Chiefs of RDO No. 10 in Bontoc, Mt.
Province.
Both are natives of Pangasinan.
