MBTF ENCOURAGES YOUNG LEADERS TO FIND OUT THEIR PURPOSE IN LIFE
DAGUPAN CITY – Despite her busy schedule, Mayor Belen T. Fernandez still had the time to go to Baguio City on May 25 to join the officers and members of the different Supreme Pupil Government (SPG) and Supreme Student Government (SSG) in both private and public schools in Dagupan who were holding their 2015 Division Leadership Summer Camp at Teacher’s Camp.
In that trip, Fernandez inducted the newly elected officers of the club in elementary and high school divisions.
The training was an undertaking of the Department of Education headed by City Schools Division Superintendent Froserfina J. Bravo along with Education Program Supervisor Liezl S. Cancino.
The training aims to develop and enhance the management and leadership skills, knowledge and attitudes of SPG and SSG officers and members through plenary sessions, interactive breakout sessions and enriched discussions.

In her message, Fernandez enjoined the young leaders to find out their purpose in life in the training seminar so that when they come back to Dagupan, they will better serve their schools and their fellow students and become great leaders especially when time comes that they will take over the helm of the city.
“The thing is I want you to be happy, to be safe, and to have a bright future. That is why, all the programs and projects that I have instituted and implemented were all driven by a purpose. I want our city to be a child-friendly city and a happy city for children to live, grow-up and stay,” said Fernandez.
She said that when the city plans and talks about education, health, employment, livelihood, clean rivers, safe and peaceful communit strong family, strong economy, the city refers to only one thing – the future of the young people. (Joseph C. Bacani/CIO/May 27, 2015)
