Bataoil, Rosario prepare plan vs. Binmaley’s Traffic

By Mortz C. Ortigoza

BINMALEY – An infrastructure project to ease the monstrous traffic congestion is in the offing after a congressman asked the mayor here to submit a plan for it.
Pangasinan Second Congressional District Representative Leopoldo Bataoil said that he wanted a concrete plan from Mayor Sam Rosario how to mitigate the traffic snarl in the poblacion area where vehicles from Dagupan City and Lingayen or vice versa pass.
Nag usap na kami ni Mayor Sam Rosario diyan and I also told him to present a proposal to ease the traffic situation in Binmaley as a result of the development and increase of the people and vehicles. We must be forward looking and this is the reason why we were able to source out funds,” the solon said.
SALUTE. Pangasinan Second District Congressman Leopoldo Bataoil (extreme right), a retired  two-star police general, rendered a salute to Binmaley’s Town Online Radio Anchor Joey “Baby” Vallejos – dela Cruz before the solon and Binmaley Mayor Sam Rosario (extreme left) discussed about the government programs to the people of the most populated municipality in terms of voters in the  eight towns' Second District.

The plan to ease the choke point in the main thoroughfare here, according to a source at the Second Engineering District of the Department of Public Works and Highway, is to expand the highway and the bridge located at the heart of this first class town.
"We will have a second consultation meeting tentatively scheduled on September 15," he cited.
Mayor Rosario collaborated the statement of Bataoil of his plan when they met at the House of Representatives in Quezon City.
“Mayor Sam Rosario has also plan in his mind which I told him to put in a concrete print and hard copies so it will be a basis to endorse favorably to the Department of Budget for appropriate action,” Bataoil cited.
The solon said that if all plans could be finalized the construction will start in year 2019.

Bataoil and the DPWH are presently preoccupied in the planning of the P980 Million highway and bridges that will start next year in Capital Town Lingayen so the perennial traffic problem there will be remedied.
He cited the construction of the almost One Billion Pesos highway, viaduct, and bridges that will start from the boundary of Bugallon and Lingayen via Basing River to Barangay Pangapisan in Lingayen.

“Start from that section in Bugallon, Domalandan and then Baay. But instead you go straight toward the river Balingcaging so that road will be improved there on Balingcaging Bridge. It will be constructed towards the town center all the way towards Pangapisan. Iyan muna ang Phase (One),” he stressed with his guests from the various sectors of the town, DPWH, and reporters in a consultation held recently at the Capitol Resort Hotel in the Capital Town.
