SAN FABIAN – The Kapisanan ng mga Brodkaster ng Pilipinas (KBP)-Pangasinan chapter will hold anew its annual tree planting activity in this town on August 6.
The activity dubbed as "Oplan BroadcasTreeing" is now on its sixth year.
Bernie Errasquin, auditor of KBP-Pangasinan chapter, said the activity seeks to raise awareness and encourage the people to join the efforts to counter the adverse effects of global warming and climate change.
“This year, participants will plant mangroves in this urban greening initiative,” Errasquin said recently at the KBP Forum held at the PIA-Pangasinan office.
The activity was previously conducted in San Manuel town in 2011, San Fabian town in 2012, along Pantal and Dawel River in Dagupan City in 2013, Bonuan Tondaligan Beach in Dagupan City 2014, and at the Manleluag Spring Protected Landscape at Barangay Malabobo in Mangatarem town last year.
Those who are interested to join can contact any KBP-member stations for further details. (PIA-1, Pangasinan)
