DEPED HOLDS SENIOR HIGH SUMMIT


DAGUPAN CITY - The City Schools Division of the Department of Education in Dagupan held a Senior High School Summit at CSI Stadia on the  theme: “Sa SHS: Trabaho, Negosyo o Kolehiyo, Kaya Mo!” on  May 12 at CSI Stadia.
The summit is in support of the implementation of the K to 12 and SHS Curriculum which are also being supported by the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE), Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
Senior High School Focal Person of League of Cities of the Philippines Mayor Belen T. Fernandez led the opening program along with Dr. Alma Ruby C. Torio, Regional Director of  DepEd Region 1; Ignacio Baylon of DOLE Dagupan; Dr. Venus Maria SM. Estonillo, chief ES; Dr. Dinah C. Bonao, Human Resource Chief, DepEd Region 1; Dr. Lourdes D. Servito, Asst. Schools Division Supt.; Dr. Liberty G. Roxas, EPS; Dr. Sheila Marie Primicias, Asst. School Supt. Pang. II; Dr. Froserfina J. Bravo, Schools Division Supt.; and Natalie B. Dalaten of DTI.

“Our administration has been very supportive in the promotion of good education in our city and with the recognition that our city recently as among the top 10 next wave cities in the Philippines, we can assure our students a good future where employment opportunities abound in their own city when they graduate from the K to 12 program.

Rest assured that on my second term, we will be more dedicated in the education of our children and in providing them job opportunities,” said Fernandez.
