DTI to roll out discount caravan in Pangasinan town

BOLINAO -The Department of Trade and Industry (DTI) will roll out its Diskwento Caravan or roving discount fair at the Don Raymundo Celeste Sports Complex here on April 26.

Provincial Director Peter Mangabat of DTI-Pangasinan said the agency’s Diskwento Caravan is meant to help consumers stretch their budget through price discounts.

“The caravan will also save consumers from travel expenses and valuable time as their needed products will be brought closer to them,” he told the Philippine Information Agency.

Mangabat said the discount caravan will showcase variety of products such as grocery items, appliances, school supplies, construction materials and electrical supplies.

He added that the National Food Authority (NFA)-Western Pangasinan will also offer rice at a lower price to benefit the buying public.

Mangabat encouraged consumers in the area to take advantage of availing marked down prices of products to be sold during the Diskwento Caravan so their savings could be spent for other necessities of their families.

“Suppliers and retailers of different products will be invited during the event to provide discount ranging from five to 20 percent,” he said.

The Diskwento Caravan will start from 7 a.m. and ends at 3 p.m. (PIA-1, Pangasinan)
