BIR's Tax Campaign

BIR HONCHO. Bureau of Internal Revenue's Deputy Commissioner Nelson Aspe (extreme right) exhorts the taxpayers in a tax campaign press conference to religiously pay their taxes to the government so it can fund projects and social services.

Aspe announced that the BIR can exact taxes to people who earned legally or illegally an income by quoting Section 23 of the National Internal Revenue Code “a citizen of the Philippines residing therein is taxable on all income derived from sources within and without the Philippines”
