Dagupan to hold first mobile blood donation and blood typing




DAGUPAN CITY – The Dagupan City Blood Coordinating Council (DCBCC) chaired by Mayor Belen T. Fernandez will conduct its 1st Mobile Blood Donation and Blood Typing activities under the  program "Blood mo Type ko Free ito" (BTF) project on February 9 at the Atrium of the CSI the City Mall.
The BTF project was launched on September 22, 2015 with the primary purpose of ensuring every Dagupeños the free access to adequate and continuous reservoir of blood supply in accredited blood banks through the holding of regular Mobile Blood Donation and Blood Typing activities.
“We invite everyone to donate a portion of their blood and be part of our humanitarian activity for the year. We also request everyone to invite any Person with Disabilities (PWDs) for our free wheelchair,” said Fernandez.
The City Social Welfare and Development Office will assess PWDs whether they are potential recipients of free wheelchair which will be distributed on a later date. (Joseph C. Bacani/CIO)
