Pag-IBIG to employers: Use electronic payment, collection facility

URDANETA CITY – The Home Development Mutual Fund or Pag-IBIG Fund has informed all employers in Pangasinan that remittance of membership contributions and loan payments using the electronic system of the Fund’s partner-banks is now mandatory.

Crisente Cayabyab, assistant manager of Pag-IBIG’s Treasury Department, said that under Pag-IBIG Circular No. 355, all employers are now required to pay premiums and loans through the Fund’s accredited partner-banks via the Electronic Payment and Collection Facility (EPCF) platform.

“The EPCF platform is an electronic payment system that gives employees a facility to remit their contributions or premiums and short term loan amortizations through the banks with electronic payment channel,” he said during the Fund Coordinators’ Club Meeting held in this city on Thursday.

Through the use of the EPCF platform, employers are assured of accurate recording, faster transactions, payments can be made anytime and anywhere, and it saves time and transportation costs, Cayabyab added.

He said employers can remit their monthly employees and employer monthly counterpart contributions and can pay their employees’ multi-purpose and/or calamity loans amortization using the e-collect platform.

Cayabyab urged employers to start using the EPCF as Pag-IBIG Circular No. 355 shall be strictly implemented starting July 1, 2016 where remittances shall be made only through banks and the Fund shall no longer accept over-the-counter payments.

For inquiries on the EPCF platform, employers and fund coordinators can visit the nearest Pag-IBIG branch office in their area or call the Pag-IBIG hotline: 724-4244 or e-mail Pag-IBIG at publicaffairs@pagibigfund.gov.ph. (PIA-1, Pangasinan)
