MANGALDAN – The mayor of this burgeoning town bared various projects she had just implemented and to implement here.

MANGALDAN CONTRIBUTIONS IN THE LENT.  Aside from the stage play Golgotha sponsored by Mangaldan Mayor Bona Fe D. Parayno for the people of the town to watch in the Holy Week, the Bayanihan Ed Mangaldan chaired by Arnel Fabia had been giving free potable water near the plaza of the town last Thursday night to penitents who walked from as far as Lingayen, Pangasinan to the Minor Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Manoaog Shrine in the pilgrim town Manaoag, Pangasinan. Mayor Bonafe D. Parayno said eight female cows and a bull had been lent to an association in Barangay Nibaliw here. The adult bovines came from the Department of Agriculture in the province of La Union.

“Iyong eight babae ay ibabalik din nila ang eight babae kasi ibibigay naman sa isang association”.
She said bull cost P100, 000 while each of the female cows cost P20,000 to P30,000.
The contribution of the local government here, according to Mayor Parayo, is giving advice, vitamins, medication, and feeds for the animals as they are being taken cared by folks in Nibaliw.
The other projects the mayor completed was the graduation of more than 30 selected students that came here and studied at the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority in Lingayen, Pangasinan.
Nagbigay ako ng kit para doon sa mga iskolar ko sa wielders na natapos na,” she stressed.
Mayor Parayno said had just gave the second and last tranche of more than 80,000 bangus fingerlings for fishpond owners here.

Last February she distributed 211,000 fingerlings where each fish pond owners received for free 1,100 fingerlings as the government gesture of helping these people.
The 291,000 fingerlings was worth P1 million. It came from the Department of Agriculture’s Grassroots Participatory Budgeting Program (GPBP). Parayno, who made the project a reality, said the town gave P150, 000 as counterpart fund amount for its completion.
