DCNHS celebrates grand homecoming

DAGUPAN CITY – It was a night full of nostalgia when hundreds of alumni from the Dagupan City National High School (DCNHS) gathered for their annual Grand Homecoming at the City Plaza last December 27.
Homecoming Chairman Dante Velasco of Class '64 and alumni association president Manuel Roy of Class '68 led the reunion, organizing a well-attended homecoming celebration full of music, revelry, and fun.
Velasco said that the annual event aims to gather alumni from different batches for a day to reminisce and rekindle the fond memories that they had in the four walls of DCNHS and to reunite with their friends, classmates and teachers whom they haven’t seen for a long time.
The participating alumni spent the night recalling fond memories in the school that gave them their education, put them on their respective career paths, and bonded them for life.
Mayor Belen T. Fernandez, who served as the homecoming’s guest speaker, recognized the achievements of the each batch of alumni and their shared role in attaining the city's progress.
Tonight, what is important is that we are on our way to a brighter future. Grand alumni homecoming such as yours builds on our past accomplishments, and memories we all cherish should inspire us in bridging as many communities wherever Dagupeños are,” said Fernandez.
Over the years, the school has produced many outstanding alumni who earned national and world recognitions.
