CALASIAO – Probably the best and coziest government office in Pangasinan if not in Region 1 has just opened last November 17.

According to Lee Caday, head of the Taxpayer Assistance Unit, the renovated and swanky Revenue District Office-4 has more spaces to offer to clients and personnel than its old building before.
He said the prime office of the BIR in Region 1 looks like an airport lounge.
“Actually medyo pinalaki iyong space para sa personnel to accommodate in anticipation of the right plan kasi mas dadami personnel. Ang rational plan, medyo anticipated din iyan ni maximize iyong parti-partition tapos pinalitan rin ng modular partition, glass ang partition”.

He said the series of construction binged that started from the multiple covered court, the eight rooms’ dormitory that includes the director’s living room and other buildings and facilities are initiatives of Regional Director Arnel Guballa and Assistant Regional Director Edgardo Pagulayan, Jr.
Caday said the four-storey two annexes elevator powered Document Processing Division is the model DPD in the entire country.

He explained that it is the joint program of BIR Commissioner Kim Henares and the International Monetary Fund where its creation would expedite the monitoring and evaluation of the BIR of the taxes in the region because of its modern online computers and electronic machines.
The building, inaugurated last December last year, cost the BIR P30 million.
He said Guballa got the funds for his infrastructure streak primarily from the savings of the regional office.

Caday said the RDO-6 in Urdaneta City will be transferring too in its new swanky and cozy place near the Flying Fish Restaurant that stands near the national highway.
RDO-6 chief Nasrollah B. Conding and Assistant RDO-6 Bernadette Mangaoang told this paper recently that construction would start after the approval last month of the bidding mechanics and implementation.
They said the 1,200 square meters lot was donated by businessman Ernesto Go and wife.
With RDO-6 and RDO-3 in La Union transferred to the new site, all six RDOs in Region 1 have new edifices through the intercessions of Guballa and Pagulayan, according to Caday.
Caday said some tour groups have already visited the different “state of the arts” offices of the BIR's regional complex in Region 1.
