MULTI-SECTORAL TEAM TO HANDLE BRAGANZA-LOMIBAO CAMPAIGN

The Liberal Party in Pangasinan today announced that it has forged an alliance with other leaders from civic and sectoral organizations in the province to ensure the overwhelming victory of Alaminos City Mayor Hernani Braganza and former national police chief Arturo Lomibao in the 2013 gubernatorial and vice-gubernatorial race. Former Pangasinan Vice Gov. Oscar Lambino, the spokesman for LP in Pangasinan, said these provincial leaders will form the backbone of a Multi-Sectoral Campaign Management Committee to be called Pangasinani 2013. Lambino noted that the Pangasinani 2013 Campaign Committee will be composed of senior representatives from the Liberal Party-Pangasinan, Pangasinan Muna Movement, ACL for Vice Governor Movement and multi-sectoral and civic organizations supporting the Braganza-Lomibao tandem. Former Pangasinan Governor Victor Agbayani, on the other hand, will focus his efforts as provincial LP chair in strengthening the organizational capability of the party in time for the May 2013 elections. Lambino said Agbayani, the most senior party leader, will provide guidance on over-all management of LP’s activities to ensure the victory of President Aquino’s senatorial candidates and local LP candidates in Pangasinan. “We commend our Party Chair for giving way as Campaign Manager of the Liberal Party in Pangasinan,” Lambino said. “Gov. Agbayani has once again showed magnanimity and humility in party leadership by deferring the campaign management to the candidates,” he added. Braganza, for his part, said Pangasinenses can expect a new approach to elections campaigning from Team Pangasinani 2013. “This is a campaign that ensures Pangasinan Muna, Hindi Bulsa Muna and one that veers away from and condemns the traditional ways of the 3Gs (Guns, Goons and Gold) that our opponents have time and again used”, Braganza added. The Liberal Party, at the same time, announced the expulsion of Mr. Ronald Estanilla from the party due to acts inimical to party interests in Pangasinan. “The party has been closely monitoring the actions of Estanilla following reports of abuse of authority. The LP is serious in policing its ranks against those who will violate the party’s guiding principle of upholding the “Tuwid na Daan,” Lambino said.
