LINGAYEN---Gov. Amado T. Espino, Jr. has lauded the efforts of Cong. Leopoldo Bataoil and the Pangasinan Police Provincial Office headed by Police Senior Superintendent Mariano Luis Verzosa, Jr. for the distribution of barangay blotters to each of the barangay heads of the 2nd district last October 4 at the Pangasinan Training and Development Center here. Gov. Espino said that such program is laudable as it will improve the blotter system in the barangays, at the same time, help facilitate the immediate reporting of incidents as the blotter system will be done in the area which is just within reach by the barangay folks. Following the distribution of barangay blotter, the barangay captains of the 2nd district of Pangasinan underwent an Orientation Seminar on Barangay Blotter System. Police Senior Inspector Leo Llamas of the Provincial Investigation Detective Management Branch said the program seeks to encourage the proper use of the blotter and its importance in the recording of incidents aside from having a systematic recording of incidents where the level of cases will already be determined or figured out. As this developed, Gov. Espino said that the provision of barangay blotter will be done province-wide where all the barangays will undergo the orientation seminar piloted by the barangays of the 2nd district. Police Senior Inspector Leo Llamas of the Provincial Investigation Detective Management Branch said the program seeks to encourage the proper use of the blotter and its importance in the recording of incidents aside from having a systematic recording of incidents where the level of cases will already be determined or figured out. The barangay captains were given lectures on Barangay Blotter (Related Laws), Blotter Recording, Cases Involving Women and Children, and Guidelines and Procedures when Responding to Calls for Police Assistance.
