MANAOAG – Has political maneuvering already started this early in this pilgrim town?
A political kibitzer said that the political landscape here would treat the voters with four mayoral wannabes slugging for the mayoral post here in 2013 poll.
After Mayor Napoleon Sales steps down from his last term in 2013, the kibitzer said that the people here would witness Dr. Angie Sales (wife of the mayor), Vice Mayor Kim Amador, Board Member Jeremy Agerico “Ming” Rosario, and Eleuterio “Tery” Sison slug - out with each other.
“But the most prolific among them is BM Ming (Rosario) as we felt his presence in  zealously consulting with the problems of folks in Manaoag or as willing guest speaker even to far-flung villages,” a supporter said.

Sison, a former councilor who lost in the mayoralty and provincial board races in 2007 and 2010, said that his political plan for 2012 revolves either to run in the provincial board or the mayoralty of this town.
“But I prefer to run for the mayoralty as three of the candidates are surrogates of the (former speaker Joe and Rep. Gina) de Venecias,” he stressed.
Sison, a leader of former Congressman Benjie S. Lim, explained that he felt threatened incase he runs for the  post of the provincial board because exiting third termer and popular Mangaldan mayor Herminio Romero is rumored to have a moist eye on the same post in the district.
Media man Ronel de Vera, a supporter of BM Rosario, said that Mangaldan has more voters to boot than the pilgrim town.
Another supporter of BM Rosario, who mans his field office here that caters to his constituents all over the 4th District, said that people of this town are fed up to see another Sales running their affairs.
